TOULOUSE
Toulouse, capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrenees region in the south of France, is crossed by the Garonne and is located near the Spanish border. It is nicknamed "the pink city" because of the terracotta bricks making up most of its buildings. Dating from the 17th century, the Canal du Midi connects the Garonne with the Mediterranean Sea and can be traveled by boat, or by bike or on foot.
Toulouse invites you to discover its two thousand years of history. Here a Romanesque basilica, there a discrete mansion with an imposing portal, further a converted industrial building, a facade with astonishing terracotta decorations, the murmur of a fountain, a hidden courtyard ... Let yourself be guided through neighborhoods mixing history and modernity.
