SOUSSE

Sousse is a port city in eastern Tunisia, located 143 kilometers south of Tunis, and open on the Gulf of Hammamet (Mediterranean Sea).

"Capital" of the Tunisian Sahel - it is sometimes nicknamed the "pearl of the Sahel" - and chief town of the governorate of the same name, it is the third agglomeration of the country after Tunis and Sfax. The Medina of Sousse has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.
