MANAMA

Capital and largest city of the emirate of Bahrain, Manama extends on the northeastern tip of Bahrain, in the Arabian Gulf.
Manama has long been an important trading center in the northern Gulf, whose traditional economy relied on pearl and fish harvesting, shipbuilding and imports.
Its famous National Museum of Bahrain features artifacts from the ancient Dilmun civilization that flourished in the region for millennia. The flourishing souk of Bab el-Bahrain offers many products, ranging from hand-woven fabrics and colorful spices to pearls.
